About the Role

As an AI & UGC Video Editor for SerlinoLab, you are responsible for using AI video generation, and UGC content to generate video for compelling, high-performing ads and long-form VSLs optimized for conversions. Your work involves applying platform-native editing techniques, integrating strong direct-response fundamentals, and incorporating feedback from the creative team to continuously improve performance. You will collaborate closely with the team to ensure each video meets brand standards, creative briefs, and performance goals, while bringing your own creative ideas to enhance engagement and retention. Timely delivery, attention to detail, and adaptability to performance data are essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form, platform-native eCommerce (product based) ads (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) optimized for conversion
  • Use AI and UGC content to generate compelling video content that drives advertising performance.
  • Edit long-form VSLs with strong pacing, retention, and direct-response structure
  • Build variations from winning concepts (new hooks, opens, pacing, captions, CTAs)
  • Apply motion graphics, on-screen text, subtitles, sound design, and light VFX where needed
  • Follow creative briefs closely, and proactively flag missing inputs or unclear direction
  • Implement feedback quickly and accurately, iterating based on performance notes
  • Maintain organized project files, naming conventions, and version control
  • Deliver edits on agreed timelines without sacrificing quality

Who You Are

  • Excellent English communication (written and spoken)
  • Excellent proficiency in using AI software, Freepik, Higgsfield, Elevenlabs, Heygen, etc.
  • Excellent proficiency in using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, pattern interrupts, and retention editing
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable receiving frequent feedback
  • Obsessed with keeping things clean, accurate, and up to date – and know how to build a system that helps you do that
  • Energized by building something original, not following a playbook
  • Comfortable taking full ownership of a process, person, or outcome – and you don’t let things fall through the cracks
  • Organised, self-driven and professional in how you manage time, relationships, and execution

Minimum PC Requirements – (please attach a screenshot of your computer’s specifications to your application)

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 / AMD Ryzen 7 – minimum 6–8 cores
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • GPU: dedicated graphics card with at least 4 GB VRAM

Nice To Haves

  • Experience editing skincare, DTC, or subscription e-commerce ads
  • Experience building VSLs with clear narrative arcs and objection-handling
  • Motion design fundamentals (templates, kinetic typography, simple compositing)
  • Familiarity with creative testing workflows and performance reporting

Who This Job Is Not For

This job is not for someone who prefers slow, polished, long-cycle editing with minimal iteration. It is also not a fit for editors who struggle with direct-response fundamentals, cannot take feedback calmly, or miss deadlines. If you do not enjoy testing multiple variations and learning from performance data, you will not enjoy this role.
